Senior Presales Engineer
Job Description
Act as the primary technical resource in the presales process, providing expert responses to customer inquiries related to cybersecurity (CS) solutions. Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and present tailored solutions. Develop high-level architectures for cybersecurity solutions that integrate on-premises and cloud-based CS services & Ensure solutions align with customer needs and industry best practices while addressing specific challenges in both Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT) environments. Ensure compatibility and effective communication with customer’s existing cybersecurity tools, systems, and protocols. Prepare and deliver technical demonstrations and PoCs to showcase the functionality and value of proposed solutions. Address technical concerns and demonstrate how the solutions meet customer objectives. Facilitate effective knowledge transfer and technical support during the transition from presales to implementation. Stay updated on the latest trends, threats, and technologies in cybersecurity. Provide insights and recommendations to customers about emerging risks and mitigation strategies.
Personal Skills
Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and technologies (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, SIEM, firewalls, endpoint protection, cloud security tools). Proficiency in designing architectures for on-premises and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences. Skilled in creating and delivering compelling presentations and technical documentation. Ability to assess customer environments and identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement. Proficiency in designing tailored solutions to address unique customer needs. Experience working in cross-functional teams, including sales, technical, and MSSP teams. Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain customer relationships.
Technical Skills
Minimum 5-7 years of experience in cybersecurity presales, consulting, or a related technical role.
Experience in working with MSSPs or managed service environments.
Familiarity with OT and IT environments, including industrial control systems (ICS) and enterprise IT infrastructure.
Understanding of sector-specific cybersecurity challenges (e.g., energy, healthcare, finance).
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or cloud certifications (AWS Certified Security - Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate).
Demonstrated success in designing and delivering complex cybersecurity solutions.
Experience conducting PoCs, technical evaluations, and RFP responses.
Education
B.Sc. of Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent.
