Senior MEP Engineer

Role Description

Revise the contractor’s drawings, assign the project’s tasks, provide supervision for the whole team (seniors C juniors), revise the drawings provided by the team, and is responsible for the quality of the team’s drawings.
Job Responsibilities:

- Preparing MEP drawings based on design requirements.

- Coordinating between different disciplines.

- Resolve technical problems and participate in the project coordination with other disciplines.

- Submitting design shop drawings.

- Preparing QS reports.

- Undertakes special project assignments as required

- Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget

- Manage changes to the project scope and project schedule.

- Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals

- Study the project contract documents (time schedule, project design drawings, BOQ etc...)

- Prepare shop drawing and coordination drawings (or composite drawing) based on project’s design drawings in accurate with quality standard.

- Coordinate with other trades to solve any conflict between (Pluming, mech, elect. etc.…)

- Update the shop drawing log before sending the shop drawing to consultant for approvals.

- Study and prepare requests for information (RFIs) for all missing, unclear, conflicting or other technical matters that may arise during construction.

- Review subcontractors’ shop drawings as well as outsourced shop drawings and coordinate their approval process with the project consultant.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering

- Long experience in shop drawing - Revit (LOD 400 is a must).

- At least 3 years of experience using Auto Cad & Revit is a must.

- Full awareness of all design-related software programs.

- Excellent Communication skills.

- Leadership skills.
