We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join Group Procurement team in the capacity of Senior Manager - Procurement.


Overview of the role
Procurement will be responsible to collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify procurement needs and specifications across Al Futtaim Group Business Unites, lead a team responsible for overseeing the procurement processes, Support the procurement department in sourcing, negotiation and purchasing goods and services.


 What you will do


  • Prepare vendors & suppliers selection documents across all Al Futtaim entities in Egypt.
  • Conduct Market research and maintain a report/log.
  • Led a team responsible for overseeing the procurement processes.
  • Executes category sourcing strategies including development and execution of RFI’s , RFP’s and RFQs, documents bid events through correspondence to suppliers; develops selection criteria and drives the selection and approval process of suppliers in collaboration with cross-functional teams; conducts supplier negotiations and ongoing supplier management. Develops negotiation strategies, gains alignment from stakeholders, leads cross-functional, category-based negotiation teams, while implementing appropriate supplier risk analysis.
  • Interacts with relevant stakeholders to develop, engages and leads supplier relationships for extracting the greatest value in supplier quality, total cost effectiveness, enhanced service levels, risk management, sustainability, and innovation. Manages the ongoing performance of suppliers including performance against the SLAs and suppliers’ evaluations, audits and qualification.
  • Manages contracts, contract negotiation, pre-negotiate and incorporate terms, conditions, key performance indicators, and service level metrics into vendor contracts.
  • Analyze procurement data and generate reports to track spending and identify cost saving opportunities.
  • Conduct market research to source vendors via screening, assessing & selection of suitable suppliers to support business growth.
  • Establishes effective internal customer relationship management by maintaining timely & professional communication with the team & business peer.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within the procurement team.
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach to identifying cost-savings and process improvement.

  • Proficient in MS office (MS Excel / Word) and Knowledge of proprietary.

About the team
The role will report to the Head of Procurement Egypt and will be based in Cairo Festival City.


 What equips you for the role


  • Full time Engineering Bachelor’s Degree is a MUST
  • Any Procurement Certification is an added value
  • Previous hands-on experience in dealing with vendors (quotations, payments, reconciliations)
  • Proficiency in procurement software’s and e-auction
  • 10+ years of experience in procurement (Contractors, Clients, Consultants and Developers)
