The Senior Accountant will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the organization's financial systems, overseeing financial records, and ensuring compliance with tax and legal requirements. This role involves preparing and presenting financial reports, managing complex accounting processes, and collaborating with team members across the organization. Tasks and Responsibilities Management
Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, including generating aging reports and coordinating timely payment issuance and collections.
Lead the preparation of financial statements in collaboration with external tax accountants for tax preparation purposes.
Manage the monthly close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation via accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
Quality Control
Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions and adherence to accounting standards.
Conduct bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Reporting and Documentation
Prepare and present detailed daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports for senior management to facilitate decision-making.
Interpret and analyze financial data to provide actionable insights.
Communication and Coordination
Analyze and interpret legal documents (e.g., contracts and leases) in an organized manner, relaying critical findings to senior management for resolution.
Prepare and invoice tax escalations for multiple commercial and retail tenants.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, tax consultants, and vendors.
