SAP Senior MM Consultant - Retail

As aSAP Senior MM Consultantwill be responsible for implementing, configuring, and optimizing SAP MM (Material Management) solutions, with a focus on driving improvements in procurement, inventory management, and supply chain processes. You will work closely with business stakeholders to ensure that SAP MM is tailored to meet the unique needs of our retail business.

• Lead SAP MM design, configuration, and implementation, focusing on procurement and inventory management.
• Configure key MM components (MM-PUR, MM-IM, Material & Vendor Master).
• Optimize procurement and inventory processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Identify workflow improvements to streamline operations and boost performance.
• Implement SAP best practices for scalable, industry-aligned solutions.
• Ensure seamless integration with SAP SD, SAP FICO, external suppliers, 3PLs, and eCommerce platforms.
• Develop custom reports and dashboards for procurement, inventory, and material tracking.
• Provide actionable insights for supply chain and procurement decision-making.
• Deliver end-user training, documentation, and ongoing support.
• Stay updated on SAP MM innovations, driving continuous improvements.
• Lead SAP MM enhancements, upgrades, and implementation projects within scope and budget.
• Collaborate with IT, procurement, operations, and finance to align solutions with business goals.
• Strong knowledge, skills, and experience in SAP MM and related modules.

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in SAP MM consulting with at least 2 full lifecycle implementations in a retail or consumer-facing industry.
• Strong understanding of key SAP MM components such as Purchasing, Inventory Management, and Material Master.
• Expertise in SAP MM configuration, including Purchasing (MM-PUR), Inventory Management (MM-IM), and integration with other SAP modules (e.g., SD, FICO).
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA or SAP Fiori for an enhanced user interface and functionality.
• Familiarity with SAP reporting tools (e.g., SAP BusinessObjects, Ad-hoc Queries) for customized procurement and inventory reports.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to work effectively with business stakeholders across different departments.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly related to procurement and inventory management issues.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities within a fast-paced retail environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications: SAP MM certification is highly desirable.
• Retail Industry Experience: Knowledge of retail-specific supply chain challenges (e.g., seasonal demand, inventory turnover) and SAP solutions tailored to retail.
• Project Management: Experience with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and leading SAP MM projects is a plus.
