Figure Shipping LLC is a leading logistics and shipping company specializing in providing reliable and cost-effective import/export services for both sea and air freight. We are currently looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive Freight Pricing Specialist to join our dynamic team.Position Overview: The Freight Pricing Specialist will be responsible for developing, analyzing, and managing pricing strategies for both air and sea freight services. This role will also play a key part in generating new business leads and expanding the customer base. The successful candidate will work closely with the sales, operations, and procurement teams to provide accurate and timely freight quotes and pricing solutions, as well as identifying new potential clients to drive company growth.

Pricing Strategy Development: Analyze market trends, competitor pricing, and customer needs to develop competitive pricing strategies for both air and sea freight services.Lead Generation: Actively identify and generate new business leads through market research, networking, and outreach to potential customers in need of freight services. Develop strategies to capture leads and convert them into clients.Rate Management: Maintain and update freight rates for sea and air shipments, ensuring competitive and accurate pricing.Customer Quotations: Prepare and deliver accurate, competitive freight quotations for customers, considering factors such as volume, weight, destination, and transport mode (air or sea).Cost Analysis: Evaluate costs associated with shipping services, including freight, fuel surcharges, and other ancillary charges, to ensure profitability and cost-effectiveness.Collaboration: Work closely with the sales, operations, and procurement teams to ensure pricing strategies align with customer needs and company objectives.Market Research: Monitor industry trends, freight rates, tariffs, and regulations to adjust pricing strategies and identify new lead generation opportunities.Contract and Agreement Support: Assist in negotiating freight rates and terms with suppliers, carriers, and partners to ensure favorable agreements.Reporting: Prepare regular reports on pricing performance, lead generation success, and competitive analysis.Customer Service Support: Provide pricing-related support to the customer service team to resolve any client inquiries or concerns regarding freight costs.Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement within pricing strategies and lead generation efforts, aiming to enhance operational efficiency and profitability.Qualifications:Proven experience in pricing, rate management, or logistics within the freight and shipping industry (sea and air freight).Experience with lead generation strategies and business development in the logistics or shipping sector.Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data and trends to develop competitive pricing models.In-depth understanding of import/export processes, freight pricing structures, and international shipping regulations.Excellent communication, networking, and negotiation skills.Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with CRM or freight management software.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
