Maintain and enhance Vodafone’s roaming and interconnection strategy, ensuring it aligns with market trends and supports profitable growth. Foster and manage relationships with global partners to secure advantageous agreements and improve roaming services. Monitor market changes and trends to adapt strategies and respond effectively, ensuring Vodafone remains competitive. Oversee the smooth operation of roaming services by collaborating with technical departments. This includes implementing and optimizing tools, reporting systems, and monitoring processes to ensure high service quality. Ensure that all aspects of roaming and interconnection meet high standards of performance and reliability, addressing any issues promptly.
International Outgoing & Incoming A2P & P2P SMS product
• P2P Int'l deals with strategic SMS HUB to maximize revenues and maintain our leadership position.
• Assist in SMS pricing structures.
• Invoicing, settlements and discount implementation with partners.
• Regular Traffic distribution by choosing the best prices for quality routes and services.
• Whitelisting local web2SMS Enterprise sender IDs internationally to create business opportunities.
Roaming Rollout services
• Maintain the plan to establish bilateral roaming agreements and increase roaming coverage (GSM, CAMEl,3G and LTE)
• Coordinate and drive the technical and NOC teams to establish clear and effective monitoring and quality of service; assure clear SLA and OLA for all roaming services.
• Maintain Fraud contingency plans, in coordination with Revenue Assurance, and ensure they are put into place and regularly reviewed/updated to mitigate risks/issues.
• Handling customer and partner complaints to full resolution
International & Roaming vendor Management DCH/GRX/HUBs, SS7
• Handle International & Roaming vendor management activities and maintain both new and existing vendor relationships and developments. Identify suitable vendors/partners, negotiate with vendors/partners to secure the best prices for quality products and services, and ensure that vendors fulfil contractual obligations.
• Developing and sustaining long-standing relationships with vendors.
• Meeting with suitable vendors to assess their products and services for on-boarding.
• Continually monitoring performance and help in development.
Effective budget for international & Roaming services
• Analyse financial information (e.g. revenues, expenditures) to ensure all operations are within budget
• Present annual budgets to senior managers
• Review budget requests for approval
• Forecast future budget needs
• Identify variances between actual and budgeted financial results at the end of each reporting period
• Suggest spending improvements that increase profits
SMS bypassing & Anti-VoIP systems management
• Handle In-house SMS firewall for international and local blockage rules.
• Monitor and detect any unusual local & International A2P behaviour.
• Run live tests (In-house) for international A2P top brands.
• Whitelist local A2P sender IDs cross-net and On-net.
• Regular Audit on local whitelisted sender ID at VF data base to avoid any international A2P breach.
• Handle joint ANTI-VoIP system between Vodafone, Orange, and Etisalat, and governed by the NTRA.
• Minimize the Bypass of international incoming calls.
• Have a full reporting & alerting function for bypass of international incoming.
• Gain additional revenues on interconnect with presents a pure margin.
• Close the gap the fraudsters are using to bypass traffic.
