EgyBell is hiring Retail Design and Delivery Assistant Manager (MEP) for a multinational company.
The Assistant Manager – RDD (MEP) assists the RDD Manager in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems for various retail and specialty leasing tenants. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and project management skills to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality MEP solutions.
Responsibilities:
Assist the RDD Manager in planning and executing MEP projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets. Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and develop mitigation strategies. Coordinate with tenants, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders. Prepare and present project status reports to management. Review and approve tenants’ MEP designs during the design review phase according to the mall design guideline, Egyptian code and best practice. Accelerate the process to ensure the achievement of fit out access dates. Monitor the tenant’s fit out progress versus their submitted time schedule to improve and facilitate their site progress to meet the agreed RCD. Resolve snags when inspecting fit out works on site and produce a snag list within days of shop opening. Ensure tenant clearance of the snag list within the agreed timeline. Control the design process with different consultants through the Detailed Design stages including full design for the assigned shop or kiosk. Initiate and manage coordination meetings with consultants for multidisciplinary design aspects to ensure integrity of design. Review and update the MEP criteria whenever required based on lessons learned and on operations/FM feedback. Coordinate between both the facility management department and the tenant contractor for final hand over and pre-opening inspection.
Qualifications:
- Sc. in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical).
- 4 to 6 years of electromechanical experience with at least 2 years in a relevant scope.
- Site supervision experience is essential.
- Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, BIM software).
- Strong understanding of building codes, standards, and regulations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Strong leadership, time-management skills.
