Role Objectives: R&I Senior Specialist is responsible for overseeing the development of new bakery, pastry and desserts products, and improving existing ones. This role involves assisting in developing recipes, testing ingredients, and ensuring that the bakery products meet quality and food safety standards. He/she is responsible for coordinating with various departments, such as production, marketing, and sales to ensure that the products developed meet the company's strategic goals and customer demands. Roles & Responsibilities:
Assist in data gathering for new product specifications.
Create new recipes and refine taste profiles through experimentation.
Develop ideas from food preparation processes for marketing purposes.
Develop product improvements based on sensory testing and consumer data.
Establish product specifications and documentation.
Modify new product recipes and ingredient selection while taking note of nutrition, shelf life, and regulations.
Plan, manage and run panel sessions and sensory tests on food products.
Refine recipe formulation for mass production purposes.
Review ingredients to meet customer needs and requirements.
Required Education, Knowledge & Skills:
Chef Background is a must, or a related field.
1-3 years of experience in the baking industry; in product development, quality control, and food safety
would be well-suited for this role.
A strong foundation in baking techniques, recipe development.
Knowledge of the latest trends and developments in the baking industry.
Experience in developing gluten-free or plant-based bakery products, for example, would be advantageous.
