The Regional Business Director will oversee operations for Medtronic across Egypt, the Maghreb, and Libya. This role focuses on achieving commercial objectives, managing a total financial responsibility across the region. Building key customer relationships and delivering high-quality products and services are also part of the role. This role is a part of the Medtronic CEE & Africa Leadership Team and reports to the RVP CEE & Africa.

A Day in the Life

• Strategic Direction & Leadership: Lead the regional commercial organization, fostering collaboration among commercial teams, support functions, and other critical business enablers.
• Business Planning & Execution: Develop and implement business plans for private and public sector markets, focusing on regional growth.
• Market Strategy Development: Analyze evolving market trends and competition to identify business opportunities, developing and executing region-specific go-to-market strategies.
• Market Representation & Compliance: Represent Medtronic in local markets, ensuring compliance with regional regulations and building strong relationships with decision-makers, government bodies, and distributors.
• Transformation & Change Management: Manage change strategies in talent management, territory alignment, sales, and sales management.
• Growth & Market Penetration: Partner with businesses to implement strategies, identify growth drivers, and address market challenges.
• KOL Relationships: Strengthen and align relationships with Key Opinion Leaders, Distributor Partners, and Consultants.
• Market Intelligence: Provide and validate market insight and intelligence data.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams in marketing, regulatory, and quality assurance to ensure the delivery of high-quality services in the region.
• Long-term Strategy Execution: Collaborate with local and shared service organizations to create and execute business strategies for long-term success.

Must Haves

• Education: Postgraduate degree in Business, Sciences, or related fields. MBA or Master’s in Business or Economics is preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 10 years of relevant, solid sales/general management experience.
• Skills: Proven track record in managing commercial targets and P&L, advanced strategic planning, team building, excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Language: Proficiency in English; knowledge of additional local languages is advantageous.
• Travel: Ability to travel 50%+ within the region.
