1-Department Leadership and Strategy
·Lead the entire purchasing department, overseeing all purchasing operations and activities.
·Develop and implement long-term purchasing strategies aligned with business goals.
2-Budget and Cost Control
·Manage the department’s budget and ensure that procurement activities are cost-effective and within budget.
·Oversee cost-reduction initiatives and ensure purchasing decisions contribute to the company's bottom line.
3-Supplier Management and Contract Negotiation
·Manage key supplier relationships and ensure the company receives favorable contract terms.
·Negotiate large-scale or strategic contracts, ensuring compliance with business and regulatory requirements.
4-Risk and Compliance Management
·Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal purchasing policies and procedures.
·Identify potential risks in the supply chain and implement mitigation plans.
5-Reporting and Senior Management Interaction
·Report to senior management on procurement performance, financial savings, supplier performance, and strategic initiatives.
·Present key purchasing reports to top management, providing insights into procurement activities and improvements.
6-Internal Collaboration
·Collaborate with other department heads (finance, operations, logistics) to ensure alignment of purchasing activities with broader company strategies.
·Participate in executive decision-making related to purchasing strategies and key supplier contracts.
7-Team Management and Development
·Supervise the Purchasing Team Leader and ensure alignment with departmental goals.
Foster the professional growth and development of the purchasing team through training, performance feedback, and coaching.
