Responsibilities:
- Assist the Senior PM and PD in leading and manage complex infrastructure projects, managing international design teams.
- Manage client expectations and build lasting relationships.
- Collaborate with client teams to agree on strategies that benefit their project AtkinsRéalis.
- Communicate client needs to global design teams to ensure they are embedded into design delivery.
- Supervise the successful delivery of the project to agreed targets, e.g. programme, budget and quality.
- Identifying and managing any matters that could pose a potential contractual/commercial risk to AtkinsRéalis.
- Protecting the commercial interest of AtkinsRéalis, including timely and accurate invoicing and effective credit control for optimal cash flow; comparing revenue with predicted costs and identifying risk allowances, margin and provisions – at project set-up and monthly thereafter, including Earned Value reporting.
- Work with the design management team, and discipline leads to Coordinate multiple design packages across disciplines.
- Ensure stakeholder requirements are tracked and incorporated by the design team.

Qualifications and knowledge:
- Degree / Discipline / Accreditations / Licences required.
- Tertiary Qualifications in Engineering and / or Project Management.
- Chartered Engineer or equivalent.
Knowledge / Skills / Experience:
- Experience managing design, build and/or operate packages on large infrastructure projects, or overall projects on small / medium infrastructure projects.
- Market sector experience in any of Water Infrastructure, Rail, Pumped Hydro and HV Transmission projects.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills both verbal and written.
- A hard working and flexible individual, who is a team player, possesses great attention to detail, is reliable, proactive and shows initiative whilst able to keep cool under pressure and when working to often demanding deadlines.
- Understands and has experience in deploying various forms of construction contracts.
- Experience of managing design projects to time, cost and quality objectives and familiar with programming and earned value techniques.
- Self-motivated and able to work both without supervision and within a larger multi-discipline team.
- Customer focused with excellent client relationship management skills.
- A supportive and encouraging approach to mentoring less experienced members of the team.
- Ability to adapt to different cultures and working environments to build rapport with clients.
