Presales Engineer - BMS
Job Description
BMS Design and Integration:
Design and implement Building Management System architectures for HVAC, lighting, fire alarm, and security systems. Integrate new technologies and automation systems to improve building operations. Create detailed drawings, specifications, and technical documentation for BMS systems. Responsible for handling Presales activities including providing designs and/or recommended solutions, fulfilling all technical support needs to sales team in the LoB. Along with suggested pricing of the suppliers and expected competition. Design highly technical solutions for the entire integrated solution components. (H/W, S/W license, network, connectivity…etc) Identify the service scope needed to fulfill the customer requirements Identify the potential supplier(s) list for the provided solution(s). Review the technical components of the proposals that he is responsible for ensuring the efficient coverage of the customer requirements in these components. Prepare technical write-up and associated drawings that describe specific part of the solution and highlight the advantages of the proposed part. Study the available solutions of the competitors to be able to provide the optimum components emphasizing our strong points and hiding our weak points. Involve in customer meetings aimed to describe/discuss the proposed solution and highlight advantages over competitors.
Personal Skills
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: 3-5 years of experience in BMS design, integration, maintenance, or troubleshooting.
Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., BMS systems, energy management, etc.)
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of HVAC, lighting controls, fire safety, and security systems.
- Knowledge of building automation protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, etc.
- Familiarity with energy management systems and sustainable building practices.
- Excellent communications, presentations and interpersonal skills.
