Power Plant Supervisor Sinai, Egypt

The Multinational Force and Observers seeks an experienced Power Plant Supervisor who will be responsible for stand-by power generation and round-the-clock distribution, as well as high voltage distribution. Managing a team of international and local staff, he/she will also be responsible for the maintenance of all generators, HV switch gear, and transformers. The Power Plant Supervisor will also advise project managers on all issues relating to power production, distribution, and installation, ensure health and safety practices and procedures are adhered to, and develop and implement emergency response plans.
The position is in Sinai, Egypt, in an international work community of approximately 1,500 military and civilian personnel of numerous nationalities.

Experience Required

The successful candidate must have:
A recognised qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering from home country; 10+ years’ experience within the service industry involving power generation and distribution; 3+ years supervisory experience of a multi-skilled power generation team or similar; and excellent communication and organizational skills, fluency in spoken and written English, and MS Office Suite proficiency.
A two-year renewable, unaccompanied-status contract, including free housing, meals, worldwide health insurance and recreational facilities is offered. May be eligible for tax free/tax reimbursement status.
This is an MFO Grade 7 position which carries a total annual salary of USD$81,726.
