About the job PLC Operations Manager
Job Objective
Manages Plasma Logistics Center Operations activities associated with the receipt, Storage, classification/inspection of plasma, intermediates stored at the Grifols Egypt for Plasma Derivates Plasma Logistics Center and related loading activity to ensure the highest level of compliance, safety, cleaning and conformance to procedures that are specified by all relevant regulations, SOPs, and cGMPs.
*Environment *Internal: Manufacturing, Quality, Donor Centers, planning, Administration & Services divisions. External: Health Authorities, government agencies, business service providers, and auditors.
Key responsibility
Supervise the receipt, storage, and classifications of plasma and intermediates and maintains oversight of the receiving, warehousing, and shipping areas in the plasma logistics center while maintaining the highest level of cGMP compliance Supervise the PLC operations employees to the highest standard of ethics and integrity. Responsible for the management of operations personnel functions including assignment and direction of work and disciplinary actions Responsible for a major cold storage logistics operation holding inventories. Maintains facilities cleanliness. Identifies opportunities for operational efficiencies and comparing to industry best practices. Introduces proposals/plans to implement changes to PLC manger and drives the implementation upon PLC manager approval. Maintains thorough familiarity and ensures compliance with local competent authority regulations, Standard Operating Procedures, and Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP). Closely collaborates with the PLC planning team to achieve over all planned targets and goals Of PLC. Closely collaborates with the PLC quality team to create an environment that recognizes the value and importance of quality operations throughout the PLC. Minimize PLC liability through constant risk management review and assures appropriate safety processes and procedures are in place
Academic experience required
Bachelors degree required; Pharmacist preferred. Previous academic or professional development in supply chain management highly desirable.
Professional Experience Required
Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience. leadership experience required. Supervisory experience preferred. Supply chain experience required.
Computing Skills
Experience in Microsoft Office applications Experience in ERP systems
Personal Skills
Organized and able to manage time effectively. Ability to work within a highly regulated, labor intensive environment. Ability to influence and direct operations and productions teams through effective leadership skills. Ability to understand, explain, follow, and enforce SOPs and protocols Ability to plan, communicate and execute activities for the improvement of overall operations.
