We have an opportunity for a Planning Engineer. The Planning Engineer is
responsible for assisting the Projects Planning Manager and the Project
Managers with developing time plans and schedules on projects to ensure that
the project is completed on time and within budget. This position is also responsible for all documentary aspects related to time plans, schedules, schedule
updates, dispute avoidance, claim avoidance, contract compliance monitoring, extension
of time (EOT) claim drafting, review and negotiations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist and support the Projects Planning Manager in daily tasks.
- Develop the project baseline, including cost and resource loading, monitor the progress of the project master schedule & milestones against the initial set baselines.
- Communicate with the project team the agreed project milestones and the critical path leading to achieve such milestones according to the planned dates.
- Analyze and report the critical paths, floats, lags and report assessment to the Projects Planning Manager and the Project Mangers.
- Ensure compliance of Honeywell corporate guidelines in all functions.
- Ensures that work is performed in accordance with Honeywell project internal processes and procedures.
- Ensures correct and timely reporting.
- Establish an effective tracking system for the administration of projects requirement in line with company procedures and guidelines.
- Create regular status reports regarding progress, resource and cost updates on projects and ensure correct and timely reporting.
- Participate in the submission of monthly consolidated reporting in the areas of cash flow forecasting, variation status and cost analysis.
- Prepare and present the causes leading to the project delay using different delay analysis techniques.
- Compile the backup documents that support the claim and ensure the correctness and organization of such documents.
- Forecast revenue based on the contemporaneous schedule updates.
You Must Have
- Proven experience of 5 to 7 years in construction project planning, ideally in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Strong proficiency in scheduling software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar tools.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent in English
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in low voltage systems is preferred.
