Introduction to role
Join our dynamic HR Services Team at the Regional Human Resources (HR) Centre! We are seeking a customer service-oriented Payroll Specialist to support our regional HR professionals and customers across core workforce administration. Utilizing our suite of HR technologies, including Workday and ServiceNow, you will execute a range of activities and directly contact customers and HR professionals to solve complex problems. Collaborate with key HR and IT stakeholders globally to identify and implement process and technology improvements.
Accountabilities
- Coordinate the entire payroll process, from employee onboarding to final settlement, including declarations to various organizations (DSN).
- Maintain relationships with the payroll service provider.
- Ensure proper application of legislation regarding employment contracts and payroll standards.
- Manage stakeholder relationships.
- Oversee payroll production.
- Perform monthly payroll audits.
- Communicate effectively about legal and contractual changes in payroll matters.
- Organize and control the production of mandatory declarations and social charges.
- Manage relationships with provident, mutual, social security, and retirement organizations.
- Interface with the Finance department for social management control.
Essential Skills/Experience
- High education degree in Human Resources with a specialization in French payroll and have acquired a minimum of 2 years’ experience in payroll.
- Fluent French speaker, spoken and written.
- Good level of English.
- Keen attention to detail and focus on data accuracy.
- Enjoys working as part of a lively and hard-working team, performing together under pressure to meet monthly payroll deadlines.
- Proven ability to work with confidential data.
- Experience of delivering against Service Level agreements, including working with third-party providers to meet work deadlines.
Desirable Skills/Experience
- Workday system knowledge would be an asset.

Hi, my name is Emily Branigan, and I am a senior automation engineer within the robotics and automation development team, better known as RAD, based at the Cambridge Granta Park site. We are recruiting for a level six, digital and technology solutions automation apprentice, where the successful candidate will gain real world experience and a BSC honours degree in unison. This role will focus on the implementation, integration and data management relating to robotics and high-throughput systems. The successful candidate will work with a team of six automation engineers within RAD and collaborate with a network of other automation engineers, data engineers, and scientists across R & D to analyse current laboratory practises at AstraZeneca and identify opportunities to innovate, develop, and implement physical and data automation tools. There'll be multiple opportunities to learn new skills and help the team solve novel technical challenges. Alongside your day-to-day duties as a level six digital technology solutions automation apprentice, you'll be working towards completing your bachelor's degree with honours at Northeastern University, developing your knowledge in a range of areas such as software, business and systems analysis, cybersecurity, data analysis, and network infrastructure.
