Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the efficient and accurate reverse sorting process to ensure timely delivery of shipments.
Manage a Reverse Sorting team of Supervisors, Senior Coordinators and Coordinators.
Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track sorting productivity and accuracy.
Collaborate with logistics, transportation, and customer service teams to address any issues or discrepancies with shipments
Continuously evaluate and optimize sorting processes, layouts, and equipment to improve throughput and reduce errors
Forecast reverse sorting volume and resource requirements, adjusting staffing and schedules accordingly
Identify and implement new technologies, tools, and automation to streamline sorting operations
Ensure compliance with all applicable shipping regulations, safety protocols, and industry standards
Provide regular reports and updates on sorting performance to senior management
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field
5+ years of experience in a supervisory or management role within a high-volume sorting or distribution environment
Proven track record of leading and motivating a team to achieve operational excellence in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting
Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and multitasking abilities
Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, with the ability to interpret and use metrics to drive continuous improvement
Proficient in using warehouse management systems, sorting equipment, and other relevant technologies
Thorough understanding of shipping regulations, documentation requirements, and industry best practices
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Adaptable to changing business needs and able to implement process improvements
