Job Summary: Garment IO is hiring an experienced and motivated Operations Engineer to join our dynamic team in the garment industry. In this role, you will be integral in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our manufacturing processes, driving continuous improvements, and optimizing production workflows. Analyze and evaluate current garment production processes to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
Implement Lean Manufacturing principles to improve throughput, reduce waste, and enhance overall efficiency.
Provide technical support to production teams, ensuring the smooth execution of garment manufacturing processes.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to machinery, equipment, and production lines.
Ensure all operational activities meet industry quality standards and customer specifications.
Monitor and analyze quality metrics, making recommendations for process improvements to maintain product quality
Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure that all machinery and equipment are regularly serviced and properly maintained.
Develop maintenance schedules and monitor performance to prevent downtime.
Work closely with the production and supply chain teams to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising product quality or worker safety.
Implement strategies to reduce scrap, downtime, and energy consumption.
Lead or assist in the execution of process improvement projects, ensuring timely and successful implementation.
Manage cross-functional teams to ensure efficient execution of engineering solutions.
Gather and analyze production data to create reports and provide insights to senior management on operational performance.
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and suggest corrective actions when necessary.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the workplace, particularly in relation to machinery, production lines, and employee safety.
Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Textile Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in operations engineering, preferably within the garment or textile industry.
Strong understanding of garment production processes, machinery, and quality control.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Experience with ERP or production management software is a plus.
