QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years’ experience in similar job with strong experience with government organizations and embassies
  • Educational background: at least completion of secondary education
  • Excellent networking and interpersonal skills

WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH

You will be based in our Cairo office as part of our Middle East Office (MEO) team. Our Middle East office comprises 8 locations that include 1000+ consulting and non-consulting colleagues.
You will work closely with the Admin and HR leadership and team and will collaborate with other relevant functions within the Middle East office, EEMA region and firm including people legal, immigration legal, talent management, mobility, and human resources. You will report to an HR firm member.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and liaising between McKinsey and Government organizations and authorities and provide a key inter-face between the two.  
You will also provide quick, efficient and reliable services for all Government related jobs such as Employment Permits, Entry Visas, miscellaneous jobs related to Immigration, Ministry of Labor & Consulates, and Business Licenses, adhering to the regular amendments in rules and regulations within very short notices. You will also respond effectively to the demands of the Businesses and employees to assist them on government related services.
Your key responsibilities will include liaising with local Egyptian government ministries to obtain new employment visas sponsored by the firm/work permits for all expatriate employees, monitoring and renewing employee firm sponsored residence permits, obtaining new residence visas and renewal for dependents of employees under firm sponsorship, facilitating and follow-up cancellation of visas for firm sponsored employees and the dependents, facilitating complex medical/police procedures on event of death of any employee or next of kin. In addition, you will be responsible for all social insurance office paperwork submissions.
Additionally, you will administer liaising with embassies/foreign diplomatic missions to enable business visits, liaising with Immigration department in obtaining business entry visas for global business visitors, administering company licenses and tax remittances with various Egypt government authorities including the Tax authority and Chamber of Commerce. You will also provide expert advice to business and employees on all visa formalities and all other government related procedures, and you will be accountable in maintaining accurate records for all above services. The ever-changing government rules and regulations requires the post-holder to be abreast of updates on information / documents and at times certain jobs must be tacked efficiently without much notice.
