The
Network Operations Lead is responsible for overseeing the operations and
availability of the Network and Server Infrastructure that support an organization’s networking, server, and cloud. This role
includes leading network partners to ensure 24/7 support, monitoring network
performance, troubleshooting issues, implementing changes, and maintaining the
reliability and security of network services. The position also involves
providing proactive insights and strategic recommendations for network
enhancements, such as bandwidth and equipment upgrades. Additionally, the
Network Operations Lead will collaborate with the Sector Network Engineering
and Technical Architecture teams on design changes and provide detailed
dashboard reporting on network KPIs to senior IT leadership.
Oversee daily operations of the network and server infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability.
Implement robust network security measures to protect against threats and vulnerabilities.
Respond effectively to IT incidents and service outages, leading the resolution process and minimizing downtime.
Design, implement, and manage complex network changes, including LAN, WAN, and WLAN networks.
Continuously monitor network performance, analyze metrics, and provide strategic recommendations for improvements.
Provide technical support and guidance to network engineers and other IT staff.
Coordinate and manage network projects, including upgrades, expansions, and new implementations.
Conduct regular network assessments and audits to identify and mitigate potential risks.
Configure and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
Develop and present dashboard reports on network and server KPIs to senior IT leadership.
Coordinate with vendors and service providers to manage third-party escalations and ensure service quality.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in network and server operations.
Maintain and update technical documentation.
Maintain a centralized inventory of all IT assets (hardware, software, licenses, and virtual resources).
Manage backup processes and disaster recovery planning (DRP) to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
Manage SCCM for software deployment, patch management, and configuration across the organization.
Manage Active Directory environments.
Oversee cloud infrastructure, primarily in Azure, ensuring efficient use of cloud resources.
Manage file and print services, including data storage, permissions, and shared resources.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or Communication.
Minimum 6 years in network engineering or network operations, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
Good English level.
Expert-level experience in MPLS, SIP, IP, Wi-Fi, SD-WAN, VPN, VoIP, Firewalls, and other networking technologies.
Experience in data center and server management, including deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE.
Strong understanding of network technologies and protocols.
Sound knowledge of IP Networking, LAN, WLAN, VoIP, SDN, and SD-WAN.
In-depth understanding of communication protocols (TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF).
Experience with network monitoring and management tools.
Knowledge of cloud networking technologies.
Strong understanding of network security principles and associated technologies.
Proven experience in managing Active Directory, SCCM, Azure, and File & Print Servers.
