The Network Consultant is responsible for providing direction and implementation tasks supporting the Virtual Migrations and reports directly to the Network Lead. The network consultant will be a key member of a wider network team consisting of both Cisco and VMware NSX consultants. The network consultant will be expected to both help design and implement network transformation between legacy Cisco NX-OS, NSX-V to Cisco ACI, NSX-T platforms. Discovery and migration support across Networks, Load Balancers and Firewalls will also form part of the role. Existing VxBlock and VxRail technologies would be an advantage.
Responsibilities
· Lead the design of complex Network Integration, migration project work
· Responsible and Accountable for the production high- and low-level designs to help deliver the solutions required by the project and customer
· Understand and comply with both project and customer governance and standards
· Lead an experience team by example and leverage previous experience to identify migration Solutions, bug fixes and development opportunities
· Work with planning on pre-review of migration bundles
· Attend the migration governance meetings
· Participate in Capacity Management process specifically relating to the delivery and execution readiness
· Assist KANBAN and backlog creation and tracking
· Preparation for delivery and execution
· Raise risks and issues with options to address and record on the MS Teams RAID board
· Any tasks assigned Programme Leads.
· Performance Metrics gathering and analysis
· Participate in migration events
· Network sign-off on all bundles prior to Squad handover
· Raise Lessons Learned and Risk / Issues where required
· Acts as technical escalation point during Migration Event weekends.
· Technical SME
· Attends Post Implementation Review (PIR) after migrations have been executed as technical SME.
· Leverage previous experience to bring forth best practices and solutions to the project team and contribute to enhancing existing methodologies
· Any tasks assigned by TDA or Programme Leads.
· Raise technical challenges in the appropriate forum.
· Ensure critical issues are escalated.

Essential Skills
· Expert Level Certification Data Centre networks both traditional and SDN
