More about the role
This is an exciting job opportunity for you to light the way as a Mechanical Engineer in Egypt with Signify.
- This role is responsible to assure optimal and safe operation of the assigned parts of the equipment, by means of preventive
- acting and adequate reactions on disturbances to realize a safe and efficient production.
- Execution of all planned preventive activities according to schedule incl documentation and reporting
- Contribute to structural improvements based on technical knowledge and practical insights
- Decides on the method and sequence of work, and does this in consultation with the Supervisor
- Decides whether parts with abnormalities should be replaced or should be modified.
- Monitors that during all production situations, the work is being done according to HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment and
- Quality) procedures and legislation, to prevent accidents, physical harm, and environmental damage
- Submit and execute improvement proposals for further development of machines and machine parts to increase machine availability and reduce maintenance costs
- Keeping ERP systems up to date in case of (parts) usage
- Instruction/coaching of co-workers on working methods and knowledge

- 3-5 years of experience
- Possesses a strong working knowledge of manufacturing
- Able to balance the needs of multiple users, stakeholder management including senior levels
- Has a strong understanding of organization’s products and services
- Knowledge of environmental, safety and quality regulations
- Cross cultural and emotional intelligence
