Logistics Specialist II
Job Description
Reports to: SC Manager
Unit / Division / Department / Section: SC (Logistics)
Location: Egypt
JOB PURPOSE
handles shipments across a vast region and requires a skilled logistics coordinator to ensure our supply chains run smoothly
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Operation requirements:
Developed and maintained relationships with suppliers, vendors, and customers. Obtain the best services at the most competitive prices. Processed freight invoices and tracked shipments to ensure cost efficiency. Managed the logistics of incoming and outgoing shipments including paperwork, customs, and distribution. Coordinated daily operations and monitored the progress of orders from start to finish. Generate regular report on supply chain performance and provide insights to the SCM. Ensure all the SC activities comply with regulations and company polices.
INFORE performance indicator (ERP System)
Have the Logistics Purchase Orders raised through ERP system signed by the authorized signatory
Follow Up and shipment reports
Monitor the export and import shipment to ensure the smooth movement as per the planned schedule Correctly prepare all documentation, whether Banking or Shipping, and submit it in order to avoid any shipment delays, demurrage or penalties Fully aware of all the documentation requirements, shipping procedures and legalization requirements for importation and Banking (LCs, DA etc.) to ensure smooth flow of paperwork and avoiding demurrage charges
Audit of compliance to safety, quality and environmental procedure and instruction
Apply all relevant safety, quality and environmental control procedures and instructions so that personal safety/the safety of others is not jeopardised. Implement all relevant operational procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner
HSE
Comply with relevant safety, quality and environmental control procedures and instructions
SPAN OF Communication
Internal: All Department personnel preparing Material/shipment Requisitions
External : Suppliers Local and Foreign, Shipping Companies, Customs, Port Authorities.
Job relevant information (BOUNDARIES & DECISION-MAKING AUTHORITY)
The job holder is responsible for ensuring the daily purchase order is entered into the ERP system and ensure proper coordination with the different suppliers.
Skills
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain or logistics.
Preferred Experience:
3-5 years
Preferred Postgraduate in Supply chain
1-2years of relevant experience in Logistics
Job-Specific Skills:
ERP experience Accurate and timely use of Infor (ERP) system Export and Import Knowledge Shipping terms knowledge (incoterms) Market Knowledge
COMPETENCIES
Excellent communication Skills – English is a must. Excellent PC user for MS program (word& Excel) Time management Skills Attention to details. Driving license Ability to manage a variable workload
