Legal Associate
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Legal Associate with 3-4 years of experience to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of corporate law and will be fluent in English. Experience working within the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) region and liaising with external counsel is highly desirable. Additionally, procedural skills in court and litigation experience are a plus.
As a mid-level legal associate, you will collaborate with the general legal counsel to manage a wide range of legal matters, including the following:
Key Responsibilities:
Draft, review, and negotiate various types of contracts, including commercial agreements, client/vendor contracts, NDAs, and employment agreements. Provide legal advice to internal stakeholders on a broad range of issues, including corporate governance, commercial, employment, and compliance matters. Work closely with external legal counsel to manage litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution processes, including drafting necessary documentation and supporting case strategy. Manage corporate governance, including board meetings, shareholder communications, and regulatory filings. Perform legal research and provide practical, actionable advice on laws and regulations relevant to the company, particularly in the GCC region. Liaise with external counsel on ongoing cases, ensuring alignment on legal strategy and timely delivery of required documents. Support the development and implementation of internal policies, risk management procedures, and compliance frameworks. Stay updated on relevant legal trends and regulatory changes, to ensure proactive legal risk management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor degree from an accredited law school. 2+ years of relevant legal experience with a focus on commercial and business law. Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Experience working in the GCC region is a strong plus. Proven ability to liaise effectively with external legal counsel and manage litigation or dispute resolution matters. Experience with procedural court filings and litigation is a plus. Solid understanding of corporate law, contract negotiation, and compliance regulations. Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, also, provide time effective advice. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills is a must. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and levels of the organization. M&A experience is a plus.
