About the role
Responsible for managing and overseeing the organization’s learning and training programs to enhance employee skills, performance, and career growth. This role involves developing and delivering training initiatives, assessing employee development needs, and ensuring that learning programs align with organizational goals and priorities. The L&D Supervisor plays a key role in fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the organization.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in Learning & Development, Training, or Education, with at least 2-4 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, and training methodologies.
- Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and other digital learning tools.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to design and deliver engaging, results-driven training programs.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Analytical skills to evaluate training effectiveness and make data-driven improvements.
- Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in employee development.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Certification in Learning and Development (e.g., CPLP, SHRM-CP, etc.) is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Training Program Management: Oversee the design, implementation, and evaluation of learning and development programs, ensuring they are effective, relevant, and aligned with organizational needs.
- Needs Assessment: Collaborate with department heads and employees to identify training needs, skill gaps, and performance improvement opportunities.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and support a team of trainers or learning specialists, providing guidance, coaching, and professional development to ensure program success.
- Content Development: Create and/or oversee the development of training materials, courses, and resources that are engaging, informative, and aligned with best practices in adult learning.
- Facilitation and Delivery: Lead or support the delivery of training sessions, workshops, and seminars in both in-person and virtual settings.
- Learning Technology Management: Utilize learning management systems (LMS) and other technology tools to manage, track, and report on employee participation and progress in training programs.
- Performance Evaluation: Assess the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, surveys, and performance metrics, and make recommendations for improvements.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure that training programs adhere to company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., health and safety, compliance training).
- Employee Development and Career Pathing: Work closely with HR to design career development programs, mentorship opportunities, and leadership development initiatives.
- Reporting and Metrics: Analyze learning data and performance metrics to track progress, identify trends, and provide regular reports to senior leadership on training outcomes and employee development progress.
