As Lab Category Leader, your key responsibilities include overseeing all laboratory activities related to quality control, food safety, and material quality during shifts by coordinating and supervising lab analysts and supervisors.


Main Responsibilities:


  • Supervise and coordinate lab analysts and supervisors for chemical, microbiology, and milk reception analyses
  • Coordinate product quality and conformity tests
  • Support R&D and production for new product launches and process modifications
  • Inspect, calibrate, and maintain lab equipment; identify causes of product non-conformities
  • Ensure timely delivery of routine testing and maintain records
  • Implement Plant Lab KPIs
  • Ensure timely release of finished products
  • Support food safety activities (auditing, GHP/GMP, pest control management)
  • Support QC activities on the floor (records, process parameters, inspections)
  • Oversee raw material inspection, sampling, and internal analysis
  • Ensure lab staff proficiency through training and internal/external proficiency testing
  • Develop and maintain lab & QC records
  • Minimize production line downtime due to lab results
  • Implement Good Lab Practices and maintain standard lab conditions
  • Manage lab objectives and assign tasks to shift technicians
  • Define and update sampling frequency for control plans
  • Execute tests, calibrations, and verifications
  • Deliver test reports and provide opinions and interpretations
  • Assess method performance and update methods
  • Ensure expertise and experience through qualifications and training programs
  • Manage all lab activities related to quality control, food safety, and material quality during shifts.

Education/Experience:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Science or any relevant major.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in labs, preferably FMCGs.
  • Very good knowledge of MS programs (Excel, Word, PPT,..)
