Junior DevOps Engineer

Homzmart is an end to end community that connects home professionals with homeowners who can browse home designs, furniture, accessories and products and also can find reviews, referring professionals, take advice from professionals and read articles about home improvement.

As a Junior DevOps Engineer, you will work alongside senior engineers to help build, maintain, and improve the tools and infrastructure that support our platform. You will assist in the following tasks:

• Support the creation, maintenance, and improvement of CI/CD pipelines for various applications.
• Assist in the management and monitoring of platform health, uptime, and performance.
• Help build and automate infrastructure using containers (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes, ECS).
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Contribute to infrastructure documentation and best practices.
• Assist in implementing security measures and ensuring compliance with company standards.
• Help manage deployment processes and automate testing for unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Learn about scaling infrastructure and assist with basic implementation strategies.

• 1+ years of experience or strong academic background in DevOps or related field.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker).
• Basic experience with orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes, ECS).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
• Understanding of cloud computing platforms, particularly AWS.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and tools in the DevOps space.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, Agile environment.
• Good communication skills and willingness to receive guidance from senior team members.

• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
• Exposure to serverless technologies (e.g., AWS Lambda).
• Familiarity with security practices, including PCI compliance.
