Responsible for the design and implementation of LAN network capabilities that support reliable and secure hosted and collaborative services across Vodafone, mainly focused for corporate LAN, VPN, Management LAN, and Data Center.
Responsible to guarantee consistency and harmonisation across the local markets and being accountable for the effective design and evolution of the security network in Europe, promoting and delivering all the possible best practise processes & cost savings initiatives.
Responsible for the overall engineering, design (High and Low Level), network implementation, testing and quality assurance activities in the Local Markets network. Responsible for IP connectivity design based on customer demand and for network optimization.
Assure the Integrity, Confidentiality and Availability of the LAN in Europe, supporting effective end-to-end view on security aspects of the mobile and fixed services as well as their configurations and designs.
• Responsible for High Level and Low Level Design engineering and network design optimization
o Drive increased quality of our network end to end
o Provide HLDs, LLDs, define templates, modularize and industrialize configuration items and their implementation.
o Design and implement Cyber security measures to reduce the vulnerability of the LAN
o Harmonize office network environments and services. Harmonize LAN services, enable seamless access over a converged wired/wireless network to global IT systems and provide guest services for external partner services as well as Third party connectivity
o Deploy the network fit for purpose including understanding of how our services/applications layer will run across the network (capacity, capability, utilisation)
o Implement Virtualisation and segregation concepts
o Conduct proof of concept (POC) validation
• Responsible for optimal implementation process that delivers ensured quality.
o Optimize the design and implementation costs and to achieve a harmonized & simplified network infrastructure
o Take control over CAPEX budget; forecast, planning, allocation, approval process, administration
o Deployment of the validated solution to its operational environment and deliver training
o Planning of Changes and support of Change Management Process
o Supervision of external supporters and 3rd parties
o Quality assurance in the design and implementation process
o Support, Test & Accept/Audit the deployed solution
o Hand over the accepted solution to Operations and Maintenance
o Manage and control the different existing test environments
o Define necessary test catalogues and test plans

• Responsible to ensure a network documentation
o Support the state-of-the art network documentation for the implemented solution that is aligned with Cyber Security architecture

o Support the data population and accuracy of the Asset- and Change Management - Databases
• Responsible to ensure network harmonisation and standardization across the Region / the local market
o Harmonize LAN network across European environments and services

• An academic degree and at least 5 years work experience in an IT organization supporting large heterogeneous IT infrastructures.
• Good experience in project management
• R&S CCNA or CCNP certifications strongly recommended.
