Infrastructure Manager
Job Description
Manage and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage systems, and virtualization platforms Develop and implement infrastructure strategies and roadmaps to support business goals and objectives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess infrastructure needs, design solutions, and ensure seamless integration and operation. Plan and execute infrastructure projects, including hardware and software upgrades, migrations, and deployments Monitor infrastructure performance and proactively address any issues or bottlenecks to ensure optimal system performance and availability. Ensure compliance with security standards, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements. Manage vendor relationships, including contract negotiations, service level agreements, and resolution of service-related issues. Develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures. Lead and mentor a team of infrastructure professionals, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities. Stay updated with emerging technologies and trends in infrastructure management, evaluating their potential benefits and implementing relevant solutions Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including automation and process optimization, to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Skills
Bachelor's degree in Communications/Electronics Engineering or any relevant discipline
+8 years of infrastructure and network experience. 4-5 years in a managerial role Certification in, or demonstrable knowledge of, ITIL or comparable IT service management methodologies Strong knowledge of infrastructure components, technologies, and industry best practices Web platform development software, such as Drupal or Enterprise Javabeans Strong Knowledge of SAN storage management and SAN Switches (Brocade) and VMware in a large-scale environment Proven experience with HP GEN 9,10 Servers and HP synergy
