TITLE: Hub Services Assistant
TEAM/PROGRAMME: Cairo Area/Operation LOCATION: Elmohndseen
GRADE: 6 CONTRACT LENGTH: Until Dec 2025.

CHILD SAFEGUARDING:


Level 3: the post holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work country programs; or are visiting the country programs; or because they are responsible for implementing the police checking/vetting process staff.



ROLE PURPOSE:


The Hub Services Assistant will be responsible for coordinating the daily hub activities among the different project’s components; in addition to, support in arranging office management, required logistics, administrative tasks, and carrying over all the procurement requests.


Projects Scope:


This project aims to provide protection and case management services for UASC in Greater Cairo. The project will directly support UASC in their protection needs establishing a tailored, timely, and integrated case management system in addition to supporting local communities to strengthen the community-based protection mechanisms through the Community Mentorship Program.



SCOPE OF ROLE:


Reports to: Project Manager


Staff reporting to this post:


Direct: two office helpers.



KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:


Project Implementation:


· Support SCI team based in Elmohndseen Hub with all administrative and logistical tasks.


· Responsible for coordinating between the different project’s components and activities taking place at the hub;


· Support in managing petty cash.


· Responsible for the office management of the hub, ensuring main office and kitchen supplies are available.


· Provide supervision over the role of the cleaner and security guard.


· Provide logistical, financial, and administration support to the implementing teams to ensure timely project implementation in consistency with SCI policies and procedures and donor requirements.


· Support in organizing trainings, workshops, open days, and other events in the field, as deemed necessary.


· Carry over all the procurement requests.


Reporting and documentation:


· Support in updating and maintaining the project’s information management system and archive.


· Maintaining proper inventory records of project material and publication.


· Report weekly to the line manager on task updates. Ensure proper data management and data protection of all the beneficiaries’ data.


· Ensure mainstreaming of SC Child Safeguarding policy in all the program activities.


In case of Emergency:


· Promote children's rights, contributing to their well-being and protection in times of emergencies, guided by humanitarian principles and code of conduct.  


· During emergencies, he/she should act in a way that facilitates SCI’s response to emergencies, giving priority to all assigned.


· Be prepared to support SCI interventions in response to emergencies and show needed flexibility


General:


· Demonstrate leadership in relation to Save the Children policies and practice with respect to safeguarding, code of conduct, health and safety, equal opportunities and other relevant policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS


· Relevant university degree with a minimum of 1-2 years of successful experience in project implementation with a reputed organization or NGO.


· Previous experience working in a front-desk role, is a must.



EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS


  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills including influencing and negotiation.
  • Excellent Computer literacy (word and Excel)
  • Excellent working knowledge of English and Arabic (reading and writing) is a must.
  • Good knowledge and familiarity with reporting mechanisms and styles.
  • Commitment to SCI’s values and policy.
  • Familiar with the refugee context in Egypt and associated political/cultural sensitivities
