Accountabilities
Collaborate in shaping & executing the strategic direction for people-related matters within the business area.
Analyze the demand for essential capabilities needed to fulfill the business strategy, and develop effective talent acquisition and talent management solutions, creating a clear pathway for their implementation across the designated population.
Champion and drive cultural & people-oriented change initiatives within the assigned population.
Lead multifaceted projects encompassing Talent Acquisition, Compensation and Benefits, Performance Management, Leadership, People & Performance Development, Talent Management, Employee Relations, and Change Management.
Liaise with senior management to understand business requirements and proactively tailor specific solutions.
Collaborate across the HR Centers of Excellence (CoE) to ensure interventions are coordinated in a consistent way that supports AZ’s organizational objectives.
Serve as a primary contact for HR Policy-related matters.
Coach, support, mentor, and challenge managers in the effective application of HR policies and practices, providing expert guidance on complex HR issues to minimize risk and financial exposure.
Drive and support the development and delivery of cultural change plans and interventions.
Essential Skills/Experience
A minimum of 5 years of proven experience as an HR Business Partner is essential.
Background in talent management & driving people development programs.
Demonstratable ability to align business strategy with people-related processes effectively.
Track record of fostering a positive employee experience.
Prior experience in people management is considered an advantage.

Emma Ward, and I'm a talent acquisition partner here at AstraZeneca, and my role means that I recruit for our UK apprenticeship programmes. So a day in the life of my role is very varied. I can talk to hiring managers about an apprenticeship that they might want to recruit for. I can talk to current line managers about the apprentices that they've already got working for them. But one of my favourite parts about the role is talking to people about the opportunities an apprenticeship programme can offer them or their child, potentially, or somebody that they know. So there's lots of opportunities for me to meet candidates via virtual career events or being introduced to them by a third party. And I really get the chance to speak to them about our apprenticeship programmes and the opportunities that a scheme like ours has to offer them as an individual. So not only does it offer them a variety of different roles at different levels, but it also gives them the opportunity to work for a really large organisation. So lots of different interactions with lots of different people, both internal and external, which makes my job really exciting every single day.
