Head of Procurement Sinai, Egypt

The Multinational Force and Observers (MFO) is seeking an accomplished Head of Procurement. The individual in this role will be responsible for devising and executing procurement strategies that are in alignment with the MFO’s objectives. This position entails leading a team of four procurement specialists who manage a diverse portfolio encompassing general and technical supplies, soft and armored vehicles, and construction materials.
Additionally, the Head of Procurement will bring expertise in contracts management, including but not limited to the construction sector, overseeing the entire contract tender process from drafting through to awarding and monitoring contracts. Furthermore, this role includes serving as the Budget Line Manager for the Labor Support Contract, which involves approximately 700 Egyptian multi-skilled workers.
The position is in Sinai, Egypt, in an international work community of approximately 1,500 military and civilian personnel of numerous nationalities.

Experience Required

The successful candidate must have:
A degree in procurement, with training in contract administration, and membership in a professional body;
Senior management experience with 10+ years leading a procurement team; Experience in drafting tender documentation and managing labor support and construction contracts; and Highly developed leadership and management and excellent communication skills, fluent spoken and written English, strong problem-solving ability, and advanced SAP skills in procurement and budget management.
A two-year renewable, unaccompanied-status contract, including free housing, meals, worldwide insurance, and recreational facilities is offered. May be eligible for tax free status.
This is an MFO Grade 10 position which carries a total annual salary of USD $119,000.
