Role Overview:
Bosta is seeking an experienced Head of Data and Analytics to drive data-driven strategies and initiatives across the organization. This leadership role will oversee three critical areas: Data and Analytics, Planning and Performance, and Fraud Detection, ensuring alignment with company objectives and operational excellence. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a strong technical background, capable of building high-performing teams and fostering a culture of innovation and data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage the Data and Analytics Team
·Lead the Data Engineering and Data Analysis functions to deliver robust, scalable, and efficient data solutions.
·Oversee the development of the data warehousing layer to support and streamline querying processes for analysts and other stakeholders.
·Ensure the team delivers all necessary business insights through comprehensive dashboards and ad hoc analyses to support decision-making across the organization.
·Implement data governance practices to ensure data quality, accessibility, and compliance with industry standards.
2. Manage the Planning and Performance Team
·Translate high-level targets from the Finance Team into detailed, actionable plans for all business functions.
·Oversee the development and tracking of KPIs, ensuring alignment between operational goals and corporate objectives.
·Lead Business Analysts across verticals to provide data-driven support for achieving functional and organizational targets.
3. Build and Lead the Fraud Detection Team
·Establish a dedicated Fraud Detection Team to proactively identify and mitigate risks across business operations.
·Develop and implement tools, models, and processes to detect fraudulent activities in real time.
·Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate incidents, implement controls, and enhance organizational resilience against fraud.
Qualifications:
Education:
. Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree (MBA, Data Analytics, or equivalent) is highly preferred.
Experience:
. 8+ years of experience in data and analytics, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
. Proven experience in managing diverse teams, including data engineering, analytics, and business planning functions.
. Experience in building or managing fraud detection processes and teams is a strong advantage.
. Strong background in logistics, supply chain, or similar industries is preferred.
Skills:
. Exceptional leadership and communication skills with a proven ability to manage cross-functional teams.
. Deep understanding of data architecture, data warehousing, ETL processes, and analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Python, Tableau, Power BI).
. Expertise in financial planning, target setting, and performance tracking.
. Knowledge of fraud detection systems and strategies, including predictive modeling and anomaly detection.
. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
