Responsible for all Infrastructure Hardware Availability, Performance and Competency ensuring their efficiency and availability at all times, in order to avoid any down time for the bank business services.


Intel Hardware Management


1.      Implement, maintain and troubleshoot Oracle Hardware, IBM Power Systems, Storage Hardware, Teradata Systems, SAN Fabrics, Intel based Infrastructure Hardware including HPE Blades, Standalone Intel servers, Cisco UCS systems and Hyper-converged Infrastructure to ensure maximum service availability.


2.      Support and manage all Hardware in Remote Sites/Head Offices to ensure maximum availability/performance.


3.      Proactively monitor the all Hardware Resources issues and support Capacity planning for future projects, using available tools for better management and control.


4.      Provide hardware configuration and pre-requisites for main infrastructure (Server profiles, Network configuration, Fibre & network connectivity mapping, racking & Stacking,etc..)


5.      Provide all requirements from Hardware prospective for new purchases (Submit hardware requests “RFP,RFQ,RFA”, Evaluating products and Vendors, etc..)


6.      Carry out the Inventory and keep them updated from all different aspects (support coverage SLA, running SW versions, resources capacity and utilization, health status and others)


7.      Follow up on open tickets with Vendors to push closing pending tasks.


8.      Participate in writing technical procedures, run books, documentations for all HW platforms .


9.      Conduct health checks, alert notification, risk assessments for the all Hardware platform and services.


10.   Plan, arrange and execute hardware and firmware upgrade tasks, connectivity optimization and planning while abiding to the Change Management Process and to ensure all actions are documented on Request fulfilment module and HP Service Management.


11.   Provide continuous support to resolve critical issues on a 24/​7 basis to maximize availability for the bank business services.


12.   Contribute and test the Disaster Recovery for all systems to guarantee the consistency of the configuration, patches and other recommendations as per the DR plan and requirements.


13.   Participate in the decommissioning of various outdated systems to free up space for other new systems.


14.   Resolve any reported audit issues on time.

1.      Follow all relevant department policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.


Day-to-day operations


2.      Follow the day-to-day operations related to Intel platform tasks in the Infrastructure department to ensure continuity of work


Compliance


3.      Comply with all relevant CBE regulations, banking laws, AML regulations and internal policies and code of conduct in order to maintain sound legal position and mitigate any potential risks.
