General Accountant (Junior)

A growing FMCG company specializing in international trade, import/export operations, and product distribution is now hiring a General Accountant to support the finance and accounting department in managing daily financial transactions, recording journal entries, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations.

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Assist in preparing tax filings in compliance with Egyptian tax laws.
• Process and record accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions.
• Prepare and post journal entries in the accounting system.
• Reconcile bank statements, supplier accounts, and customer accounts.
• Assist in managing invoices, payment processing, and expense reports.
• Ensure proper documentation and filing of all financial records.
• Participate in the month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Assist in tracking operational expenses and verifying budget adherence.
• Prepare and review petty cash reports and employee reimbursements.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.

Job Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in the FMCG industry or Import/Export industry. 
• Very good English level.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently, quickly, precisely, and take initiative and responsibility.

Working Conditions:

• Working Hours: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• Fridays & Saturdays are off
• Work Location: Sheikh Zayed, Cairo, Egypt.
