THE JOB:



As a Gatekeeper at the Blue Man Group, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for ensuring a smooth and memorable experience from the moment they arrive. Your primary role will be to manage entrance gates, verify tickets, and provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a welcoming and WOW atmosphere. Also, you will have involvement in the show using props creating an energetic environment.
THE STARTING PAY RATE: $20.15

THE DAY-TO-DAY:



Welcome guests as they arrive at the theater, creating a positive first impression.
Scan and verify tickets efficiently, ensuring that all guests have valid entry.
Manage the flow of guests entering the theater to prevent overcrowding and ensure safety.
Provide information and assistance to guests regarding seating, show times, and other inquiries.
Maintain awareness of all the property restaurants, services, shows, events and property amenities.
Address and resolve any guest concerns or issues in a professional and courteous manner.
Work closely with other theater staff, including ushers and security, to ensure a seamless guest experience.
Assist the performance through the accurate and timely preset and execution of production cues throughout the theater including the placement, retrieval, management, and handoff of props, escorting pre-selected and ad hoc audience participants during the show, prepping the house during changeover between performances.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:



Must be at least 18 years of age.
Prior front of house theater experience such as a gatekeeper, usher or within a box office setting.
Prior customer or guest service experience.
Prior experience presetting and executing cues during shows.
High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
Takes pride in their work, can multi-task and describes themselves as detail oriented.
Enjoys helping others and likes to make a good impression.

THE SCHEDULE:



On-Call. Must be able to work varied shifts to include weekends and holidays.
