First Mile Hub Manager - Jumia (Full Time)

What you will be doing

• Implement best practice logistics principles, policies, and processes across to improve operational and first mile performance
• Review impact of logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes or carriers and report results to the management
• Ensure the delivery partners are following the order life cycle
• Implementation and monitoring of new project/operational process
• Management of the associated operational hub and compliance with SLAs
• Resolve problems concerning delivery, logistics systems or customer issues
• Shipping and delivery of packages to logistics partners

What we are looking for

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 4 years of experience in a distribution, warehousing or logistics and Supply Chain environment
• At least 2 years of direct leadership, indirect leadership
• Microsoft Office package and taste for information systems
• Able to work in a demanding work environment
• Pedagogy and support for teams
• Strong relay between officers and management
• Excellent interpersonal & listening skills, diplomacy
• Ability to lead projects
• English proficiency
