Fire Watch Manager Sinai, Egypt

The Multinational Force and Observers (MFO) seeks an experienced Fire Watch Manager who will assist the Fire Station Manager with the activities of the fire and rescue service, including fire training, inspections, and fire prevention programs in support of both main camps, remote sites, camera sites and any other MFO premises as required. He/She will implement the fire prevention program, be responsible for the safe operation, maintenance, and use of all firefighting and rescue equipment, conduct fire risk assessments, supervise the training of locally-contracted fire-fighting personnel and ensure that all firefighting equipment is maintained in a high state of readiness.
The position is in Sinai, Egypt, in an international work community of approximately 1,500 military and civilian personnel of numerous nationalities.

Experience Required

The successful candidate will have:
5+ years’ experience in local authority, civil aviation, or military fire service; 2+ years’ experience as Crew Manager at Leading Firefighter/NCO level; At least one-year’s fire prevention experience; Emergency First Aid at Work: Level 3 Award; Aviation Supervisors Initial Course qualification; and Confined Space Instructor qualification.
He/she must also be physically capable of carrying out and supervising firefighting activities and be able to operate the Redkite software training program.
A two-year renewable, unaccompanied-status contract, including free housing, meals, worldwide insurance, and recreational facilities is offered. May be eligible for tax free status.
This is an MFO Grade 7 position which carries a total annual salary of USD $78,000.
