Chefaa is a pioneering digital health platform in Egypt dedicated to enhancing the accessibility of healthcare services through a seamless online experience. Our mission is to empower individuals to easily obtain their pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical products, delivered conveniently to their doorsteps.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring consistent corporate financial strategy through a range of avenues such as managing and allocating accounts, financial statements, and tax data. The candidate will also be the point of contact for banks, auditors, and tax authorities.
Responsibilities
1. Financial Management:
  • Manage all accounting operations including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, and Revenue Recognition.
  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, and report variances.
  • Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
  • Preparing, reviewing, or consolidating multi-entity financial statements and making company report filings
  • Coordinating M&A systems integration and recording M&A deals in the financial statements
  • Banks & Financial Institutions relation management

2. Compliance and Reporting:
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and regulative reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
  • Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
  • Act as Audit Liaison with external auditors

3. Internal Controls:
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.

4. Financial Analysis:
  • Provide financial analysis and decision support to management.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial efficiency.
  • Optimizing Cash Management by performing Cash flow forecasts and Cash flow analysis.

Requirements
1. Experience and Education:
  • Proven working experience as a Financial Controller.
  • 7+ years of combined accounting and finance experience.
  • Advanced degree in Accounting; CPA or CMA preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Egyptian Accounting & Auditing Standards EAAS
  • Strong Knowledge of IFRS
  • Strong Knowledge of GAAP
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Experience with creating financial statements and general ledger functions.
  • Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
  • Strong Knowledge of English Language.
  • Strong Knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems such as Odoo / Dynamics / SAP
