The Position Summary
This position works out of our Egypt affiliate in the Corporate Finance Services where we are committed to provide financial services to Abbott affiliates in the region.
As the Finance Manager (COE), you'll have the chance to Supervise the activities of a team of finance professionals who is accountable to the day-to-day shared services operations for the countries in ME region including but not limited to:
(a) accounts payables and the associated reconciliations and accruals.
(b) vendor enablement to support the automation of the payables processes
(c) support compliance driven related matters
(d) monitoring of exception processes
(e) supporting the sub-ledger close processes on a period, quarterly, and annual basis.
What You'll Do:

• Manage a team of Center of Excellence (CoE) to perform within standards and attain service level agreement.
• Perform full payables functions within the defined process standards.
• Provide analysis and support to the financial accountant(s) and auditors as required to ensure full tax and audit compliance.
• Ensure integrity of internal controls, in partnership with the compliance team.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree plus 7-10 years of related work experience with a basic understanding of specified functional area, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
• Knowledge and application of accounting concepts, internal controls, procedures and practices.
• Intermediate to advanced experience with Excel, PowerPoint and SAP or other ERP systems is a requirement.
• Strong interpersonal communication and leadership skills and the ability to interact with various levels of finance personnel remotely and on-site operational personnel.
Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business or accounting with professional certification as an advantage.

Minimum Language Skills: Well Spoken and Well Written English and Arabic are required.
