Wego is a Technology Group operating in the online travel industry with a global footprint and operations across Asia and the Middle East. As we continue to grow and expand our business, we are seeking an experienced and exceptional Finance Manager to support our operations in Egypt.


Job Overview:


The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing the financial and administrative functions of the Egypt office. The successful candidate will report directly to the CFO in Singapore and work closely with the General Manager of the Egypt office as well as other members of the Group Finance team.


Responsibilities:


  • Handle the GL function
  • Oversee AR & AP functions ensuring accurate & timely record of financial transactions.
  • Prepare balance sheet schedules on monthly basis
  • Manage and ensure timely proper month-end and year-end closing.
  • Prepare full sets of financial statements for management and statutory reporting
  • Ensure local VAT and corporate tax compliance
  • Oversee the coordination and execution of the local audit, monitoring compliance with regulatory requirements and statutory financial reporting.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in finance processes, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance in financial operations.
  • Collaborate with HQ to manage local operations working capital needs and prepare cash flow forecast.
  • Stay updated on FRS requirements, ensuring timely implementation and compliance.

Requirements:


  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Accountancy. Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CMA) is preferred.
  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in finance and accounting roles in a similar capacity, including some years of audit experience.
  • Prior experience in the online travel agency industry preferred. 
  • Experience with working in fast paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of financial standards, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems. 
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software.
  • Good knowledge of local regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
