Your new role: As a Field Service Engineer, you will be providing technical support to MD&D product sales of new and established accounts. You will also cooperate with the Sales Team to accomplish sales objectives and greater market penetration.
What you'll be doing in your new role:
Scheduling and performing periodic maintenance, installation, repair and modification of equipment within assigned areas of responsibility. You will be responsible to maintain all equipment and systems to attain designated product performance metrics.
Maintaining all records in accordance with regulatory requirements. This includes following the defined Complaint Handling Procedures relative to complaint identification, documentation, resolution, and escalation.
Conducting technical training and product briefing with customers, vendors and company representatives as needed.
Supporting sales partners efforts to attain business objectives.
Determining technical solution in accordance with product and customer specifications and recommends actions to company or customer representatives for coordinated product solution.
Performing other work-related duties as assigned.
The individual:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering / Electronic / Mechatronic, Electrical, or related field.
Experience: Minimum 3-4 years experience within installing, operating, maintaining, repairing, and modifying medical equipment, preferably in laboratory instruments.
Experience in IVD is preferred.
A team-player, self-motivated & interacts appropriately with peers, sales counterparts, and customers is required.
The ability to organize and express ideas clearly, verbal and written, in individual or group situations.
Possess appropriate technical knowledge and have the ability to utilize that knowledge to effectively perform required job functions with an effective level of competence demonstrating a high degree of knowledge in electro-mechanical, chemistry, computer and/or other related disciplines.
Ability to effectively manage assigned workload within allotted time constraints.
A valid driver's license is required.
Travel: Ability to travel up to 75% around the country.
English: Minimum intermediate level.
