Job Purpose:
To ensure that the company is a safe and healthy workplace while minimizing the environmental footprint of its activities and products & build and achieve an HSE culture where everyone is accountable for preventing accidents, avoiding health risks, promoting wellbeing as well as reducing environmental impacts.
To ensure compliance of the operations with the company HSE regulation and procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Ensure the site’s activities compliance to all relevant Environment & Sustainability regulations and standards (local and company).
Support the HSE Head to maintain the environment permits.
Serve as the primary point of contact with site related environmental regulatory agencies and ensure timely submission of required reports and documentation.
Develop and implement site plans in alignment with Sanofi Environment & Sustainability Planet Care policies (Eco-Design, Climate change, waste circularity, water stewardship, Biodiversity…).
Conduct assessments and mitigate environmental impacts associated with the site’s operations: Identify, assess and manage environmental impacts and opportunities.
Monitor the environmental performance of the site and oversee the monitoring of environmental parameters, such as air pollution, water and wastewater quality, waste management, and GHG emissions.
Lead initiatives aimed at reducing the environmental footprint of the site, including Eco-design, water stewardship, waste, Biodiversity.
Support the engineering team to optimize the use of the resources and reduce the site’s environmental footprint (Energy, PIE, Water efficiency roadmap, etc).
Perform investigations into environmental severe impacts, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Promote proactive HSE Culture on environmental topics by developing and delivering training programs on Environment & Sustainability for all employees and stakeholders to guarantee that all employees have the knowledge and capabilities needed for their tasks.
Engage with environmental external experts (consulting, academies, labs, …) to ensure that the site have all the environmental capabilities in line with the site responsibilities on environmental topics.
Monitor/Report Environment & Sustainability local performance and trend (incl culture maturity index) to the SLT and above the site senior management to identify trends & assess performance. Ensure quality and timeliness of the reporting of environmental data.
Support the development and implementation of HSE excellence and project management strategies, and standards across the site organization in alignment with the company CBNs & roadmaps.
Ensure that all process improvements and changes comply with HSE regulatory requirements & company priorities.
Develop on site the deployment of the One HSE Culture program.
Perform HSE process analysis maturity and develop improvement plans.
Ensure end-to-end HSE processes are defined and designed. Support HSE site governance and escalation process.
Support projects to streamline operations, reduce variability, and improve overall process performance.
Coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve project goals and objectives.
Lead local HSE management system and local HSE documentation in alignment with Global guidance.
Works closely with other departments such as SMS, Quality and Manufacturing to ensure process improvements are aligned with overall business goals.
Manage change HSE initiatives to ensure smooth implementation of new processes and technologies.
Drive culture management of HSE Excellence (Learning, programs in place) and promote a culture of continuous HSE improvement* by encouraging employee participation in process improvement initiatives and recognizing their contributions.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of HSE process improvements and ensure ongoing optimization.
Analyze process data to identify trends, root causes of issues, and opportunities for improvement. Coordinate local HSE process owners network. Participate to Community of Parctice managed at global level.

JOB-HOLDER’s ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:*
Education: Bachelor degree of Engineering/Pharmacy/Science
Related Experience: At least 5-7 years of HSE industrial experience.
