Engineering Manager - Construction

The Engineering Manageris responsible for overseeing the technical operations of the engineering department, ensuring integration, quality, and efficiency.

• Develop and implement workflows, procedures, and regulations for the engineering department to ensure efficiency and quality.
• Analyze contract documents and coordinate design packages across all disciplines to ensure integration and alignment.
• Oversee the preparation, coordination, and delivery of detailed shop drawings for structural, architectural, MEP, and landscaping designs.
• Assign necessary staffing, supervise technical teams, and provide guidance to junior engineers at the head office and construction sites.
• Conduct quantity surveys, specify material requirements, and support procurement planning and subcontractor deals.
• Liaise with site teams, consultants, and clients to resolve design conflicts, address technical issues, and clarify project requirements.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes and regulations and prepare monthly reports to monitor project technical progress.
• Contribute to the tendering process, advise on material selection, and assist in procurement planning and strategies.
• Identify and resolve gaps in project drawings, coordinate solutions with engineering teams, and manage RFIs for technical inquiries.
• Spend time between the head office and construction sites to supervise technical teams and maintain consistent project performance.

We Are Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
• 15 years of experience in well recognized construction companies.
• Min. last 5 years working in the engineering manager position.
• Previous experience of working in Quantity Survey, Technical Office, and Shop Drawing is a must.
• Previous experience of working in large construction projects such as mixed-use projects, residential, commercial, hospitals, industrial, roads, infrastructure projects is a must.
• Excellent familiarity with the software such as (Revit, BIM, ASD, Autocade (2,3 D), ArchiCAD (2,3 D), NAVIS, Photoshop, Lumion, Microsoft office, ………Etc.)
