We are looking for a passionate and experienced Engineering Manager to lead and mentor a team of talented engineers. This role involves strategic planning, technical leadership, people development, and hands-on management to ensure successful project delivery and team development.
YOU WILL
Team Leadership and People Management:
Recruit, onboard, and manage a high-performing engineering team.
Foster an environment of collaboration, trust, and technical excellence.
Conduct regular one-on-one meetings to provide feedback, address concerns, and set individual career goals.
Drive team development through coaching, mentoring, and training opportunities.
Facilitate open communication to ensure team alignment with organizational objectives.
Recognize and reward individual and team achievements to build morale and motivation.
Technical Oversight:
Drive the technical vision and ensure best practices are followed across the engineering team.
Collaborate with product and design teams to define technical requirements and project scopes.
Participate in code reviews and ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
Project Management:
Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects on time and within budget.
Establish clear metrics for team productivity and project success.
Proactively identify and mitigate project risks and roadblocks.
Collaboration & Communication:
Act as a bridge between engineering, product, and other cross-functional teams.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to align on priorities and expectations.
Advocate for the engineering team’s needs and ensure alignment with business objectives.
YOU HAVE
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
8+ years of experience in software development, with 2+ years in a managerial or leadership role.
Strong technical expertise in Java Proven track record of delivering complex software projects in an agile environment.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Experience with team-building, mentorship, and career development.
Ability to balance technical depth with strong business acumen.
A PLUS TO HAVE
Experience in the Tech industry especially Data analysis.
Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
