Engineering Manager
What this role is about?
The position holder carries the overall responsibility for all engineering, building and utilities maintenance, repair and energy supply activities. He is responsible for the management of CAPEX projects, including technical design, specifications, scope of work, budgets, schedules and implementation. Responsible for effectively implement EHS activities to ensure compliance with occupational health, safety and environmental legal requirements and in line with Company Standards.
What will you do?
- Ensure the planning and implementation of investment projects for factory extension and machine replacement programs preserving of all means of production of Production areas, buildings, and energy supply according to the financial plan of the factory. Candidate has to deliver ASP projects and commitments related to SAFETY-QUALITY-SERVICE- COST, identify areas of improvement with focus on the Engineering activities
- Ensure the development of the capital investment plan for the above-mentioned areas considering the latest technologies
- Ensure alignment of capital investment projects with related company departments, policies and procedures. Create relevant documents to support business requests (PR, BAP, Memo). Design timelines of capital investments and controls their execution.
- Check BOQs (bills of quantity) and cost sheets of project works. Check and controls project schedules
- Create status reports for project works. Controls timely engineering studies execution, drawings design, other relevant documentation which is necessary for project implementation.
- Manage outside Engineering services, consultants, contractors and vendors to implement projects within schedule and budget according to JTI quality standards. Support all EHS initiatives and projects
- Control construction works (woodworking, plumbing, welding, painting, tiles, glass) and other ongoing repair works of the factory such as: roofs, windows, doors, gates, walls, floors, ceilings and stairs
- Lead development of activities related to reconstruction and modernization, preventive actions to avoid hazardous ecology impact, effective energy usage, creation of safe and favorable working conditions, improvement of production and engineering culture of employees
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or any other relevant field
- 3+ years of professional experience in project planning and implementation preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Broad practical experience of maintenance and repair of production facilities combined with economic skills
- Previous experience in the manufacturing field
- Proficiency within MS Office package as well as being ERP user
- Fluency in English
