The Professional Services team at Rackspace delivers a wide range of projects for both clients and business partners. The Project Coordinator role performs the administrative and operational work required to run the business and deliver to customers.
What you’ll be doing
Coordinating project schedules, budget, and status reporting
Leading small projects from the perspective of budget monitoring and control, invoice the clients, approve timesheets, and maintain the project deliverables.
Provide back up support for additional operations tasks, including: Weekly and monthly reporting, Deck creation, Training content creation, Process documentation and Integration support
Continue formal training on Agile and traditional project management, achieving certification
Provide ad hoc administrative support to members of the delivery team
Administration of FinancialForce, including set up of new projects, creating and modifying assignments, timesheet adjustments, and running reports
Administration of JIRA and Confluence, such as creating new projects and spaces, handling user access requests, troubleshooting access and functionality
Shadow Engagement and Project Managers in preparation for a future Engagement/Project Manager Role
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering/Science, or equivalent technology professional experience
At least 2 years of experience as a project coordinator or project assistant role
Having experience in software or IT industries is a must.
Proven budgeting experience is a must.
Experience in project management, from conception to delivery
Strong communication, presentation, excel and reporting skills
Detail oriented with exceptional documentation and organizational skills
Analytical thinker with the ability to understand business reporting
Able to work independently and manage and prioritize numerous incoming tasks
Ability to work in a fast-paced consulting environment and collaborate effectively as a team member
Having cloud background in AWS, GCP and/or Azure is a big plus
PMP or Prince2 is a plus
