Job Description
Primary Responsibilities
Accounting & Finance
- Oversee daily operations of the Finance department, including financial planning, budget management, and analysis of monthly operating results.
- Direct and coordinate debt financing and debt service payments with external agencies.
- Prepare annual reports, financial forecasts, and analyses for contract negotiations and investment decisions.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements.
- Establish and implement departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
- Serve as primary legislative liaison for company financial issues and direct financial audits.
- Conduct regular checks on financial procedures across all operational areas.
Team Management
- Recruit, develop, and manage finance team members, including performance reviews and addressing performance issues.
- Collaborate with Talent & Culture function to ensure appropriate hiring, training, and development of team members.
- Conduct monthly departmental meetings to facilitate communication and address issues.
Other Responsibilities
- Attend required briefings, meetings, and trainings.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and hygiene.
- Be aware of hotel fire & life safety/emergency procedures.
- Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by Management.
Qualifications
Qualifications for Director of Finance:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Director of Finance at a 5 stars international chain hotel.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in Accounting/ Finance roles, including 3 years in financial planning and management.
- Strong skills in strategic planning, process improvement, and financial analysis.
- Experience in budgeting, auditing, and managing corporate finance processes.
- Excellent communication in English (spoken and written).
- Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Proven leadership abilities and experience in managing teams.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to a dynamic environment.
