Siemens Brightly is seeking an experienced Data Services Manager to lead the transformation and management of next-generation data services. In this role, you’ll focus on optimizing data extraction, transformation, and load (ETL) solutions, driving innovation, and improving operational efficiency. Reporting to the Director of Professional Services, you’ll supervise a team of skilled ETL engineers and technical consultants, setting the technical direction for data migration processes and transitioning to AWS Glue as a primary platform.
Responsibilities:- Define and execute the technical strategy for ETL development, streamlining disparate data processes into a unified framework using AWS Glue.
- Manage and mentor a diverse team of ETL engineers and technical consultants, fostering growth, skill development, and high performance.
- Oversee the enhancement of data migration tools and processes to ensure accurate and seamless client data integration with minimal disruption.
- Collaborate with Software Engineering and Product Management teams to drive automation, improve tools, and implement best practices in data migration.
- Provide pre-sales support, including custom data service quotes, and work with Client Services to handle escalations and support implementation teams effectively.
Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Extensive experience in data engineering or professional services, with proven leadership in managing technical teams.
- Strong expertise in SQL scripting, database development, and managing MS/AWS environments.
- Proficiency in ETL processes and relational database management systems (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server).
- Familiarity with CRM and knowledge management tools (e.g., Salesforce, Confluence).
Preferred Skills:- Advanced proficiency with AWS ETL tools, including AWS Glue, Lambda, and Terraform.
- Strong programming skills in SQL and Python.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities, with a track record of effective client-facing communication and project coordination.
